Helping people stay housed, safe and supported

Thrive supports public housing and First Nations housing tenants to maintain their tenancies and strengthen stability at home — before challenges turn into crises.

Funded by the Department of Communities, Thrive is delivered across the South Metro, Great Southern and South West regions of Western Australia.

The program takes an early-intervention approach, while also responding to people facing complex and high‑risk situations, such as financial hardship, domestic violence or the risk of eviction.

Support is provided by independent case workers, offering a safe and trusted space to talk openly. This independence allows people to seek help without fear of judgement, helping them regain control and confidence in their lives. Since 2019, Thrive has delivered person-centred, practical support tailored to each person’s needs.

By strengthening life skills, linking people with local services, and working collaboratively across communities, Thrive helps tenants build resilience and stay connected for the long term.

This pathway helps people to:

  • Sustain their tenancy and reduce the risk of eviction
  • Address challenges early, with crisis support available when needed
  • Build life skills, confidence and independence
  • Strengthen community connections and support networks
  • Access coordinated, collaborative services that work together
