Tidda
Empowering women through diagnosis, support and self‑determination
Tidda supports women with undiagnosed or unsupported psychosocial or intellectual disabilities as they prepare for release from custody.
Funded by the Sisters of St John of God, Tidda addresses a critical gap by supporting access to diagnosis, NDIS applications and long‑term specialist supports — laying the foundations for sustainable independence before release.
Case managers work closely with each woman to address housing, employment, family reconnection and community supports, always centred on dignity, empowerment and choice.
This pathway supports women to:
- Access diagnosis and NDIS supports
- Establish sustainable, long‑term services before release
- Reduce barriers linked to living with a disability
- Secure housing, employment and positive relationships
- Build independence and reduce the risk of reoffending
