Child Safety Commitment Statement

Outcare maintains a steadfast zero tolerance for child abuse. Our primary concern is the safety and well-being of all children and young people who engage with our services. We believe that every child has the inherent right to feel safe, valued, and protected.

Our Commitment Includes:

1. Zero Tolerance for Child Abuse. We enforce a strict zero-tolerance policy towards any form of child abuse. All concerns and allegations are promptly and thoroughly addressed, in alignment with our organisation’s policies and procedures.
2. Listening to and Empowering Children. We actively work to empower children and young people by encouraging them to express their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. We ensure their voices are heard and that they are involved in decisions impacting their lives.
3. Protective Systems and Procedures. We have robust systems and procedures in place to safeguard children from abuse. These are regularly reviewed and updated to incorporate best practices and the latest standards in child safety.
4. Comprehensive Staff Training and Support. Every member of the Outcare team undergoes extensive child safety training. Our employees are well-equipped to recognise, respond to, and report any concerns regarding child safety, ensuring a proactive approach to protection.
5. Promoting Cultural Safety and Inclusivity. We are committed to fostering cultural safety for Aboriginal children and children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Additionally, we strive to create a secure environment for children with disabilities. Our services are designed to be inclusive and respectful of all children’s diverse needs.
