What is the St John of God Women’s Program?
This program is designed to help female offenders as they transition back into society. The program is delivered through a person-centred approach. This means we do not think ‘one size fits all’ instead we design each program to suit the specific needs of the client.
This can include:
- Employment and training
- Alcohol and drug support
- Mental and physical support
- Family support
- Back to country
- Cultural support
- Department of Child Protection (DCP)
Who can be involved with the St John of God Women’s Program?
The program is available to all female prisoners at Bandyup Women’s Prison and Boronia Pre-release Centre for Women. It normally begins six months prior to release and continues for twelve months post release. However, women can contact us outside of these times to be considered for the program.
How can I get involved?
If you are interested in getting involved with this program contact us on (08) 6263 8622.
